But Do I Really Have to Drink It??!!

Often times, my family and friends ask me what to do about certain conditions.  Nine times out of ten, my immediate answer is..."Apple Cider Vinegar"!  Their first question is, "Do I have to drink it"?  I respond with a resounding YES!!  Before they can utter the next phrase, I quickly add that you can mix it with water and a little "Better Stevia" (not any other sweetener).  I'll explain in another post why Better Stevia is simply, BETTER.  For now, let's continue talking about Apple Cider Vinegar. Bragg's  Bragg's is my favorite ACV as it is Organic, Non GMO, Raw, and unfiltered.
What is Apple Cider Vinegar and how does it work?
Apple cider vinegar is the fermented juice of crushed apples. It contains acetic acid and nutrients such as B vitamins and vitamin C. Apple cider vinegar helps lower blood sugar levels by changing how foods get absorbed from the gut.
Natural (undistilled) organic, raw can really be called one of Mother Nature's most perfect foods.  Natural ACV should be rich, brownish color and if held to the light you might see a tiny formation of "cobweb-like" substances that we call the "mother." Usually some "mother" will show in the bottom of the ACV bottle the more it ages. It never needs refrigeration. You can also save some "mother" and transfer it to work in other natural vinegars. When you smell natural ACV, there's a pungent odor and sometimes it's so ripened it puckers your mouth and smarts your eyes. These are natural, good signs.
What are some of the benefits? (These are just some of the wonderful and exciting benefits of ACV).

  • Relieves an upset throat.
  • Aids in weight loss.
  • Eliminates dandruff.
  • Reduce Bacterial Growth.
How do we Ingest it?  
For the bold at heart, you can take 2 tablespoons straight in the morning and 2 before bed.  For the less bold, you can mix 2 tablespoons with an 8 oz glass of water and add some Better Stevia, to taste.  I like to drink this concoction throughout the day with a little bit of Organic Lemon juice and organic Beet Powder.  Talk about a real energy kick.  It will give you the boost you need pre-workout or simply if you need a pick-me-up!
Now that you're a little more informed about the wonderful benefits of ACV, you can dive right in and get going on better health without spending an arm and a leg on Meds that can actually cause you more damage than good.  But that's a whole new topic for a future post.
